What is carbuyerscheck.com ?

Carbuyerscheck.com is a service for people buying a used car. The service, as the name suggests, includes a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle by a qualified motor professional who will issue a report to you at the end of the inspection.

In many cases, the findings of our inspection can be used to encourage the vendor to offer a reduction in the asking price of the car, to carry out some repairs or replace some defective parts, at no cost to you, before you buy the car. This can potentially save you hundreds of Euro in later repairs while giving you the comfort of knowing that the car has been checked by an independent qualified professional.

Do I have to bring the car to you for checking?

A

No. We always travel to check the car at the site of the seller.

Are your staff qualified?
A Yes. Our consultants are fully qualified motor engineers with many years experience dealing with a wide range of makes and models as well as vast experience in Car Sales.

Are you insured to carry out a test drive?

A

Yes. We have a fully Comprehensive Open Drive Motor Trade Insurance Policy.

Do you charge extra to do the Emission check?
A

No. This and the Irish Finance check, is included as part of our service at no extra charge.

Apart from the quoted fee, is there any other charges I should know about.

A

Excluding “Optional Services”, there are no additional charges as we include the Irish Finance Check and the Emission check as part of the service. However, if the car is a long way from our base, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee to travel a long distance to inspect the vehicle. Any such charges will be notified and agreed in advance so you will always be fully aware of what you have to pay.

“Optional Services” include a “History Check” on vehicles imported from the U.K. and this service can be provided for you. Any fees payable for this service will be fully agreed in advance.

What happens if I have to cancel an appointment?

A

If you have to cancel an appointment for any reason, please notify us immediately. If we are notified in sufficient time of any cancellation, no fee will be charged. However, if we travel at your request to inspect a vehicle which is not available for inspection, you will be responsible for payment of our fees.

When do I pay the fees?

A You pay our consultant on completion of the inspection.
